WEBSITE FILE RETENTION


In June 2008, the current Campers For Christ Ministries website was brought into existence, and as I compare the present content to its' humble beginning, I'm amazed at the growth and changes that have taken place, as well as future expansion.

As of this date, there are over 350 text and image files on the host server computer that services the website. There are many hundreds more on my own computer that are necessary to continue development, and to provide backup and archival facilities.

As more PHOTOGRAPHS, THOUGHTS TO PONDER, AUDIO MESSAGES, and WEBMASTER NOTES are added to the website, the number of files have grown to the point where file management has become somewhat of a problem, not to mention the potential for future increases in the cost of file storage on the host server. The best way to mitigate this problem is to remove those files and images on the host server that are obsolete and no longer needed, and to archive these files for historical purposes.

Therefore, we will only provide 'photographs' for the most recently held rallies, and 'thoughts to ponder' for the past 6 months. If anyone is interested in obtaining copies of any of the archived files or images, they can be provided upon request at any time.
