Occasionally, members have asked me why my CFC email address is 'campers4christ.org', while the CFC website address is 'campersforchrist.com'. It's a somewhat complex technical issue, but I'll do my best to explain it for you.

The old website was hosted and maintained by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Florida using the registered domain name 'campersforchrist.com'. All the printed literature of Campers For Christ Ministries referred to this domain name, so it was desired to continue using that name with the new website.

However, while the new website was being developed during the summer of 2008, it was necessary to obtain another domain name to test and gain approval of the new design before replacing the old website, hence the birth of 'campers4christ.org'. We tried to register 'campersforchrist.org' for this purpose, but that domain name was already owned by someone else... another story for another day!

When the new website was ready for implementation, the old website was taken down, and the domain name 'campersforchrist.com' was redirected to 'campers4christ.org' at our new ISP in California, making the transition to the new website as transparent as possible for CFC members, as well as preserving the old domain name for future use. It remains that way to this day.

Campers For Christ Ministries is the current owner of both these domain names, and this was the easiest and least costly way of implementing our new website, which can be accessed by either domain name, but our email addresses are restricted to the 'campers4christ.org' domain name.
